Harsh Vaibhav Nallanthighal

  • HWI Summer Fellow

Harsh is a MS Energy Science, Technology and Policy student at Carnegie Mellon University. His interests and experience lie in the understanding and applications of decarbonization strategies while focusing on the clean energy transition. His outlook towards a cleaner future is greatly influenced by energy and transportation systems, energy equity, commodity life-cycle and energy economics. Through this outlook, he aims to explore the intersection between climate change impacts and the energy and environment landscape.

As a part of his summer fellowship, he will be working with Harbison Walker International to look at initializing a circular economy model for their refractory materials. With a burgeoning passion for climate change impacts and justice, net-decarbonization, and the clean energy transition, he aims to work towards a future where sustainability is at the crux of every engineering and design principle in the world.
