The Financial Wellness Program was part of the Financial Literacy Month celebrations at the University of Pittsburgh.
Attendees increased their financial knowledge through talks to help improve their financial awareness and well-being. We began our virtual event with the keynote session, "Thinking Your Way to Wealth with Orlando Houston, Financial Consultant with Equitable Advisors, LLC. Afterward, guests chose from breakout sessions "Basics of Portfolio Planning: Managing Climate & Environmental, Social, Governance Risk in your Portfolio" with Trina Brown, Financial Advisor with Allegheny Financial Group, "Cryptocurrency for the Confused" with Dr. Chris Wilmer, Associate Professor of Chemical and Biological Engineering and Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Pittsburgh, "Funding the World you want to Retire into with Thematic, Impact, and/or Socially Responsible Investing," with Jim Rambo, Financial Advisor with Allegheny Financial Group, and "Pay Yourself First - The Basics of Investing," with Joseph Carpenter, Financial Advisor with Carpenter Financial Services. This virtual event was held over Zoom.
